Sidmouth hypnotherapist, Deborah Pearce, is celebrating after seeing her 1,000th client this month.

Having qualified in 2008 Deborah has practised in and around East Devon, helping clients with a range of conditions.

Deborah said: "It has been an absolute privilege helping local people improve their mental health.

"Most people are familiar with hypnotherapy in the context of phobias and quit smoking. Many people don't realise that hypnotherapy can help with anxiety as well as symptoms associated with depression. In fact, most of my clients seek help for conditions that are caused by, or made worse by, anxiety.

"It may be that they are not coping with the children, their job or life pressures. They may be lacking in confidence, or not sleeping well. They may have lost interest in hobbies or lack motivation to get up in the morning.

"I work in a Solution Focused way, which means that I work with these clients to help them move forward positively towards their 'preferred future'. I discourage negativity in the therapy room, thereby helping clients to develop positive habits of thought."

Deborah is also a clinical supervisor and hypnotherapy trainer.

She is highly qualified, being one of the first hypnotherapists in the country to gain the Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma. She has clinics in Axminster, Chard, Ottery St Mary and Sidmouth.
