Sidmouth M&Co store to close for good

M&Co's Sidmouth store is closing down today (Tuesday 18 April).

The Scottish clothes retailer announced earlier this year that all of its stores would close and all staff be made redundant.

A spokesperson said in February: "As we haven't received any funded, deliverable offers that would result in the transfer of the company's stores or staff to a potential buyer, this means that all of our stores will now close and all staff will be made redundant.

"The M&Co 'brand' has been purchased, but unfortunately this does not include a future for our stores, website or staff."

M&Co was bought by AK Retail Holdings after it collapsed for the second time in December 2022.
