Sidmouth Science Festival: What's On this Weekend

We've put together a round-up of events happening over the next few days for the Sidmouth Science Festival!

1. Jurassic Coast; the greatest story on Earth - Richard Edmonds
Taking place at 1.15pm on Saturday at All Saints Church, freelance geologist Richard Edmonds will take you through the fascinating history of the Jurassic Coast.
The talk will explore how the coastline fits 'in a global context looking at plate tectonics as the driver for climate change, extinction and evolution in order to make sense of the story contained within our coast.'
2. Dinosaur in town
An animatronic dinosaur will be 'walking' from Kennaway House to the Market Square in Sidmouth town centre on Saturday at 11.30am, 2pm, and 3.30pm, in an event sponsored by broadband provider Jurassic Fibre.
3. Science in the garden: stories from a traveling gardener! - Rupert Bannister
Happening at 1pm on Sunday at Sidmouth Parish Church, horticulturalist Rupert will talk about plants, key subjects such as composting, climate change and the concept of 'right plant, right place'.
