Welcome to this week's planning briefing from Sidmouth Nub News. Every week your Nub News team will put together a report on the planning applications, big and small, submitted to the area's planning authority, East Devon District Council, from the Sidmouth area.

The applications featured in this report have been verified by EDDC but decisions on the applications have not yet been made.

Here are the planning applications verified by EDDC for the week beginning Monday, January 27:

-Demolition of existing dwelling and construction of replacement dwelling and detached garage together with associated external works and change of use of land from agricultural to residential for the new dwelling. Beechwood Farm, Sidbury, Sidmouth, EX10 0QG.

Ref. No: 20/0010/FUL. Validated: Tue 28 Jan 2020. Status: Awaiting decision.

-Change of use of agricultural land to a secure dog walking field/exercising arena. Land West Of Middle Knapp Farm, Sidbury, Sidmouth.

Ref. No: 19/2410/COU. Validated: Mon 27 Jan 2020. Status: Awaiting decision.
