A new business is to open its doors in Sidmouth's Libra Court, with the official launch taking place on October 12.

Em Swallow, along with her husband and two sons, are behind the new creative outlet called Something Lovely Pottery Painting.

Em said: "I've wanted to set up a pottery painting business for five years now and I'm really excited to open Something Lovely! Having a shop I can make my own has been great."

The idea came into fruition after the family moved to East Devon back in 2017 - Em having grown up in Sidmouth.

"I had been working as a PA within the charity sector for 10 years and really wanted to change careers.

"I wanted to spend more time with my boys and to focus on my creative and people skills.

"I have always been creative and enjoyed bringing a smile to people's faces - with pottery painting I can combine the two!"

With the festive season just around the corner, this could be the perfect place to pick up some unique gifts.

"I've got lots of new Christmas stock and will be holding Christmas themed events," she added.
