Tickets are now on sale from today (Friday 11 March) for Sidmouth's first jazz and blues festival.

The festival will take place from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 June at various locations in the town, including Sidmouth Parish Church for ticketed concerts, and Blackmore Gardens for free live performances.

A wide range of music genres will be on offer, including jazz (of the contemporary, modern, swing, and New Orleans styles), blues, roots, R&B, soul, funk, Latin, Cuban, and gospel.

There will also be free performances on the street and in pubs, wine bars and hotels in Sidmouth, as well as music workshops and masterclasses to engage the local community.

Festival Director Ian Bowden said: "We are immensely proud to be presenting the very first jazz and blues festival in Sidmouth.

"It is a wonderful town, and we are grateful for all the support that we have received throughout the community.

"Music inspires and provides so much joy and wellbeing and I have no doubt that the festival will provide a much-needed boost after what has been such a challenging time over the recent two more years."

Who will be performing?

Performing at Sidmouth Parish Church will be the multi-award-winning blues guitarist and singer Ian Siegal, the Ronnie Scott's All Stars from the eponymous London jazz club, the Italian multi-award winning acoustic guitarist and composer Antonio Forcione and his band, the 'UK Queen of Soul' Mica Paris, and more.

How can I get tickets?

Festival organisers have said that they are expecting 'extremely high demand' for the events.

Tickets can be purchased online from the Sidmouth International Jazz & Blues Festival website here.
