The timings for Sidmouth Airshow have now been confirmed.

The display will take place next week on Friday 26 August, and feature the Red Arrows alongside Spitfires and other aerobatic displays.

A funfair will also be operating at the Ham.

Timings for Sidmouth Airshow (subject to change)

5.15pm – Rich Goodwin Pitts special aerobatic display

5.40pm – Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfires

6.05pm – Team Raven

6.30pm – Royal Air Force Aerobatic Display Team, The Red Arrows

Car parking

The Ham, Roxburgh, Mill Street, and Manor Road district council car parks and Bedford Lawn car park will be available for use as normal.

Extra car parking at Sidmouth Rugby Club (10am to 9pm, £10), Sidmouth Cricket Club (4pm to 9pm, £10), and at the top of Redwood Road (12pm to 9pm, £5) will also be available, weather dependent.

The entire seafront from Manor Road to Port Royal will be closed to all traffic from 12pm to 9pm on the day. The roads may reopen sooner if traffic permits.

A no-parking restriction from 2pm to 9pm will be in place from Exeter Cross down Temple Street, the Radway, along the length of All Saints and then along Station Road until the Bowd. Cars will be removed if contravening the restriction.

Temporary Air Display Water Safety Zone

A temporary Air Display Water Safety Zone will be in force on the water off Sidmouth beach.

No vessels are allowed in this area from 5.15pm until the end of the display (approx. 7pm) and the area will be patrolled.

Organisers have requested that spectators and in particular, boat, jet ski and kayak/paddleboard owners take note.

Failure to comply could result in the airshow being delayed, curtailed, or cancelled.

Volunteer collectors wanted

The town council is also seeking volunteers to help collect money towards the show.

They will be needed across the seafront, Salcombe Hill, Peak Hill, and Connaught Gardens collecting donations via buckets and contactless payment.

If you would like to be a volunteer, email [email protected].

Sidmouth Regatta

Sidmouth Regatta will start the following day (Saturday 27 August) with a program including sailing and surf life saving races, street theatre and a fireworks display. Sunday 28 August continues with sailing and gig racing.
