A two day yellow weather warning for thunderstorms has been issued for Sidmouth by the Met Office.

The whole western edge of the British Isles is forecast to experience heavy rain, high winds and thundery weather tomorrow (Thursday, June 25) and Friday (June 26).

Today will remain dry and hot with plenty of sunshine. Tonight will remain dry and clear with muggy conditions overnight.

Thursday will start off much like today, fine, hot and sunny. Thunderstorms are expected during tomorrow evening.

Friday will start with more thundery showers but the sunshine should return in the late afternoon and evening.

The weekend is forecast to be a mixed bag of weather, with both sunshine and showers. There will also be 'a notable breeze' and temperatures are likely to drop off.

-Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

-There is a small chance that some communities become cut off by flooded roads.
