Sidmouth Lovebirds looking for a special way to woo their sweet-toothed Valentine this February have a brand new gift idea - a rose-shaped ice cream.

Southern England Co-op has launched a brand-new ice cream in time for Valentine's Day – shaped like a rose.

From Saturday, February 1, customers will be able to get their hands on a box of four strawberry rose cones, which is a strawberries and cream ice cream shaped like a rose petal with a cone crafted to look the stem of a flower.

The product is the first of its kind in the UK and will cost £2.

A spokesperson for Southern Co-op said: "The cones look and taste amazing and so much work has gone into making them look as close to a red rose as possible.

"Although it is still a little cold outside, this is a perfect gift for a loved one who likes flowers but also has a sweet tooth."
