Firefighters from Sidmouth were called to Berry Hill near Branscombe last night after reports of a vehicle fire.

The incident was reported to Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service at around 9.30pm yesterday (July 3).

When firefighters arrived on the scene they discovered two vehicles 'well alight'.

Fire crews used a dry powder extinguisher, a compressed air foam jet and cutting equipment to put out the fire.

Both vehicles were completely destroyed by the blaze. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
