Storm Freya to bring strong winds and high seas expected

Devon and Cornwall Police have received a yellow weather warning for the whole south west region ofr the period between 3pm today, Sunday 3rd March and 6am tomorrow the 4th.

Storm Freya may cause some travel disruption and possible dangerous conditions later. Some damage to buildings and trees may occur (we have already had a tree down in East Devon). We have been notified about possible high seas around East Devon and Dorset, with a specific warning for Dorset for Lyme Regis harbour, but the general weather warning concerns the entire peninsula.

Members of the public are urged to be very prudent, not to put themselves at risk at coastal, beach or in rural areas.
