When I talk to business about their risk planning, they generally haven't thought about it and don't have a plan for what they will do if a crisis happens.

Business continuity planning doesn't sound the most exciting pastime, but as a business owner you will want to plan for what might happen to your business in the event of a crisis and have a plan to ensure that it affects your business for the shortest possible time and that you know what you will do to minimise disruption.

Sidmouth's taxi drivers are being offered gym memberships at a reduced cost to help them get fitter.

East Devon District Council has identified a reduction in the number of licensed taxi drivers over the past four years, which can be attributed to a variety of factors including the decision by a number of taxi drivers each year to retire when the annual renewal of their licences is due.
