Over 50 volunteers of all ages teamed up with East Devon District Council officers, councillors and Greener Ottery on Saturday 11 January to help plant native West Country apple trees in a new community orchard in Land of Canaan, Ottery St Mary.

The project, which was organised by East Devon District Council's Parks service in conjunction with Greener Ottery and ward member Cllr Vicky Johns, is a reflection of both the council and local community's interest in sustainability and climate change.

Quirks and More, a new support group for parents and carers of children with additional needs in Sidmouth, has found a new venue and will soon be holding its first meeting.

The group, set up by Sidmouth mum Katie Turner, is intended to help parents talk about the highs and lows of parenting a child with additional needs.

West Hill Road in West Hill near Ottery St Mary is blocked both ways.

This is due to a fallen tree from Bendarroch Road to Higher Broad Oak Road.

PegasusLife (now known as LifeStory) is now officially the owner of Knowle, East Devon District Council's former headquarters in Sidmouth.

Shortly after 1pm today, 14 January 2020, East Devon District Council received the outstanding money for the purchase of the Knowle site.

Sidmouth Food Festival at Kennaway House is celebrating its fifth anniversary with two events this year.

The first event will take place on Saturday, April 11, from 10am until 4pm and the second event will be taking place on Saturday, August 15, from 10am until 4pm.
