East Devon District Council are looking to talk to the owner of a Red Setter dog after a Roe deer was attacked and killed on Harpford Common.
The dog was identified as a red setter with a thick black collar and the incident happened at around 9.30am on Tuesday, October 22. The dog was running loose with its owners nowhere to be seen.

12-year-old Jamie White, a year seven student at Sidmouth College, has won the Retribution area champion title by unanimous decision.
The show took place on November 2 in Camden Town in London and was his first fight representing Team Chaos Okehampton.
Fire crews were called out to a tractor and trailer on fire in Venn Ottery just before midday today.
A statement released by Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "A fire engine from Ottery St Mary and one from Middlemoor, along with the water foam carrier from Danes Castle, responded to a tractor on fire.
A coastal makeover has blown a brief of fresh air into Twyford House, the home of Sidmouth Voluntary Service's lunch club.
From the new look dining room, diners can enjoy a 3 course lunch for just £6.00, all freshly prepared on site.

Former Independent MP and journalist Martin Bell OBE has thrown his weight behind the General Election campaign of Independent Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC) for East Devon, Claire Wright.
Bell, who was Independent MP for Tatton (1997 – 2001) and is a British UNICEF ambassador has given his backing to Wright's campaign which was officially launched on Saturday, November 2.
Every gambling venue in Sidmouth will be taking part in Responsible Gambling Week, from November 7-13, the biggest ever campaign to promote safer gambling.
The #RGWeek19 campaign is led by the Industry Group For Responsible Gambling, in partnership with leading gambling charities, Gamcare and Ygam, and the objective is to stimulate a national conversation about safer gambling, highlighting the tools, advice and help available to customers.

East Devon's attempts to 'actively assess commercial investment opportunities' could make them look like a 'Casino Council', it has been claimed.
Councillor Paul Arnott, leader of the East Devon Alliance, questioned the way the council's careful choices consultation made it look like they were 'punting an idea about the council being a development corporation'.

The Ottery St Mary born British Ambassador to Japan, His Excellency Paul Madden, has been talking up Devon cider in the country.
HE Paul Madden was born right here in East Devon, in the town of Ottery St Mary, and took on roles as the High Commissioner to Singapore and to Australia before taking on the position of British Ambassador to Japan in January 2017.
