Eight Mighty Greens lined up at the start of the Great West Run half marathon in Exeter recently and for Bert Dykema it was his first.

Bert was delighted with his finishing time of 2:09:00 and found the event very well organised and very enjoyable!

Bert said: "The last few miles were tough, you thought this is the last hill, but no, before you knew it there was another one!"

MG Richard Summerhayes was the first SRC runner over the line; coming 2nd in his age category in 1:28:44 and David King came first in his age category finishing in 1:41:30.
