Runners of all ability levels are being invited to take part in the inaugural Dukes Sidmouth 10KM.

Dukes Sidmouth 10KM will take place on November 3, between 10am and 12pm.

The 10km course, starts at Sidford Social Hall and follows the entire length of the Byes down onto Sidmouth's seafront before looping back round and retracing your steps back home.

It is a largely flat course except for the short incline up Beatlands and Cliff Road and back down Hillside Road.

The route will give supporters plenty of spots to cheer on those taking part.

The organiser, Lizzie Mayne of LMEvents, said: "I am very active myself and have taken part in various running, swimming and triathlon events in recent years.

"I love organising events and I wanted to put on some interesting local races which involve local businesses and supporting local charities where possible. I had some amazing feedback from 'The Clinic Maer 10km and Half Marathon' I put on in April this year, I have the Exmouth OpenWater Sprint Triathlon this weekend, September 15, where we have all ability athletes taking part from first timers to professionals.

"Next up after that is the Sidmouth 10km before heading into some more new races in 2020."
