Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision, which took place yesterday on the A3052 from Seaton Road to the B3174 Hollyhead Road.

A statement released by Devon and Somerset police said: "At approximately 10.25am yesterday police were notified of a road traffic collision on the A3052 between Seaton and Sidford.

"The collision involved a blue Seat Ibiza and White Mercedes Sprinter.

"The Seat was travelling toward Sidford and the Mercedes towards Seaton when the collision occurred.

"The driver of the Seat, a 52 year old local female, sustained life threatening injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital.

"Officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team and local officers attended the scene and commenced an investigation."

Police are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area at the time of the collision and may have Dashcam footage.
