Remembrance Sunday will be observed in Sidmouth this Sunday 14 November with a parade and service at the war memorial.

A scaled-down service was held last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The procession will assemble at the top end of the High Street from 10am, setting off at 10.20am. It will be led by Sidmouth Town Band and include former and serving members of the Armed Forces, members of the emergency services, St John's Ambulance and Red Cross, and also cadets, scouts, and other youth groups.

A short service and laying of wreaths will then take place at 10.50am at the war memorial outside Sidmouth Parish Church.

There will also be a smaller parade and two-minute silence at the war memorial for Armistice Day tomorrow (Thursday 11 November).
