Branscombe church to host Autumn Arts Festival

St Winifred's Church in Branscombe has a busy lineup of events planned for its Autumn Arts Festival.

The event will be held from Wednesday, September 28 to Sunday, October 2 and will include an art exhibition and sale, craft fair, guest speakers and concerts.

The exhibition and sale of art will be open in St Winifred's every day from 10am to 5pm with free entry and light refreshments will be available.

This will open with a reception and preview on Wednesday, September 28 from 6pm to 8pm, to which all are welcome for a suggested donation of £5.

Internationally renowned visual artist David Shringley OBE will be guest speaker on Thursday, September 29, with his talk 'Creativity and Joy' takin place in the church at 2pm for £5 admission.

On Friday, September 30, Barbara Farquharson of the Branscombe Project will be speaking on 'Branscombe: The Art of Storytelling' at 7pm in the church.

A craft fair will then be held on Saturday, October 1 in the Branoc Hall. This will be followed at 7.30pm by Music Deco in concert at St Winifred's, with local trio Kate Walker, Andrew Daldorf and Chris Gradwell performing an exciting mixed programme, from classics to jazz. Admission costs £10.

The festival will conclude on Sunday, October 2 with Festival Choral Evensong by Exeter Cathedral Choir, starting at 6.30pm.
