'A chance to connect with customers again' was how one of the stallholders at Kennaway House's craft fair on Saturday (May 29) described the event.

This was only the second Westcountry Crafters' fair in Sidmouth this year – the first was in April, after a long Covid enforced break.

While the sunny weather lured many people to the beach, there were plenty of customers keen to browse the craft stalls.

There was also live music from the Sidmouth-based duo Small Fortune.

Naturally, there were Covid precautions in place, including a one-way system, social distancing reminders, and hand sanitisers.

Tanya Priestley of Seacycled Crafts said she was having 'a glorious day', and that it was 'lovely to see Sidmouth bustling again'.

Dawn Head of Devon Sand Box said: "It's so lovely to be in the beautiful setting of Kennaway House in this gorgeous weather and connect with customers again."

The next Westcountry Crafters' fair at Kennaway House will be on Saturday, June 26, and then on July 10, July 24, August 28, October 2 and October 30. Entry is free.
