Date announced for grand opening of new Sidmouth craft shop
A new Sidmouth shop is set to officially open next Saturday (15 July).
Sidmouth Craft Hub, located on Mill Street in the former premises of Sidmouth Fabrics and Haberdashery, will have a variety of craft items for sale and will also offer instructional classes.
The grand opening will take place from 11am and Alan Cotton MBE, a local artist, will cut the ribbon.
Sidmouth Craft Hub owner Felicity Carver said: "A complimentary glass of fizz, or a soft drink, and nibbles will be on offer to all who would like to come along and celebrate with us. Everyone is welcome!
"Some of our lovely craft tutors will be on hand to demonstrate their work, and chat about the classes they are offering.
"There will be an opportunity to sign up for these classes directly, and browse the wonderful new craft room. The shop will also be fully open and hopefully there will be plenty to tempt everyone to get crafting.
"I'll be selling a lot of haberdashery and wools, but I'll also be selling a lot of other crafting materials like modelling clays, lots of different craft papers and cards, resins, lino printing kits, quilling papers and tools, different glass for glass art. A whole variety of different things.
"I'm hoping it will be a welcome addition to what Sidmouth offers, and I plan on it being a welcoming, fun and creative place to be."
Sidmouth Craft Hub has classes for children, teenagers, those who enjoy knitting and more.
