Doveleigh Care's three residential homes in Sidmouth, Seaton and Colyton have all been ranked among the South West's top 20 care homes by the review website www.carehome.co.uk.

The site also rated the homes as the top three in Devon.

Each home's ranking is based on reviews submitted to the site by care home residents or users of the service, and their families and friends. The site contains information on 17,510 care homes with 211,038 reviews.

Doveleigh Care's senior manager Samantha Evens said: "There are more than 2,250 registered care homes in the region, so having all three homes each receiving a Top Twenty Award again is a fantastic achievement. ï¶ Arcot House is a 23 bed home located in Sidmouth. It provides care in the beautiful setting of a Georgian Manor house with a large secure garden.

ï¶ Doveridge is a homely 20 bed care home, set in an old farmhouse in the friendly town of Colyton. It provides personal care for older people living with dementia.

All three homes are supported by a great team of staff with a range of skills and experiences. This includes the management team, care staff, activities, maintenance staff, cooks and domestics. The skills of individuals are utilised across all of the homes to ensure all residents are able to benefit.

Not only are all three homes presently rated 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) which is some feat in itself, but what is more impressive is that all three have been awarded their second consecutive Outstanding rating by CQC, which is an absolutely amazing achievement.

CQC has rated Arcot House in Sidmouth to be Outstanding in all five domains of inspection for the second time, which makes it the first and only residential care home in the country to achieve this incredible feat!
