Elderly pedestrian dies after being hit by a car

A 92-year-old woman has died following a collision between a car and a pedestrian in West Hill, near Ottery St Mary, on Tuesday 17 December.

Emergency services were called to the scene on West Hill Road at around 6.45pm.

According to a statement from Devon and Cornwall Police: "The pedestrian, a 92-year-old woman, sustained multiple serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital where, sadly, she died on Friday 20 December.

"The driver of the car was uninjured."

Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward by calling 101, or emailing [email protected], quoting log number 0733 of 17/12/19.
