Event of the Week: Poetry Please!

Now that we're able to meet indoors again, it's great to be able to promote an event that isn't taking place via Zoom!

With the weather getting warmer, Covid restrictions easing and social gatherings being organised again, people are rediscovering the enjoyment of planning what to do in their free time.

And to help out, every week Sidmouth Nub News will be highlighting an 'Event of the Week' – something taking place in the next few days in the local area.

There are also event listings in the What's On section of the site – and anyone can add their own events, free of charge.

So if you're organising a pub quiz, a walk, an exhibition, a sporting fixture or a live gig (when restrictions allow) or anything you'd like to promote, just go to the What's On section and hit Nub It.

This week's Event of the Week is Poetry Please - a friendly gathering of people who enjoy poetry. Meet at the Leigh Browne Room at the Dissenter Hall at 2pm on Wednesday 16 to share poems by Sylvia Plath and Anne Sexton, or your own compositions, on the challenge of climate change.
