Exeter pizza restaurant On The Waterfront is set to leave The Marine in Sidmouth after taking over the premises in January last year.

It said its decision comes "due to the current climate" and has announced it will go for good on Saturday 4 February.

A spokesperson said: "From all of us here at The Marine, we want to thank all of our wonderful staff, suppliers and customers for a brilliant year!

"Unfortunately, due to the current climate we have had to make the difficult decision to re-focus our business.

"Please come and join us for one last delicious pizza before we leave on 4 February. Our staff would love to see you and say their goodbyes.

"A massive thanks to Sidmouth for welcoming us with open arms and supporting our venture!

"Don't forget that if you enjoy our pizzas, you can still get your hands on them at On The Waterfront in Exeter or at The Kents in Torquay."
