Fire services were called to a roof fire at Beatlands Corner in Sidmouth today at 12.30pm.

A spokesperson from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "Two fire appliances from Sidmouth, one from Ottery St Mary and the Aerial Ladder Platform from Danes Castle, were sent to a report of a roof on fire on a property at Beatlands Corner in Sidmouth.

"On arrival crews confirmed that there was smoke issuing.
