The Sidmouth Rugby Football Club has been installed with a heated cabinet, which will house the defibrillator there making it functional.

Located just outside the club house, it means that the lifesaving equipment is close to hand on the club's grounds for anyone who may require immediate medical attention.

Installation of the heated cabinet, along with the defibrillator, was funded by Councillor Stuart Hughes, who has paid for machines to be fitted in a number of locations around Sidmouth and Sidbury.

Stuart told Nub News: "It's really important that defibrillators are easily accessible in as many public spaces as possible.

"I'm delighted to have been able to provide this lifesaving device for the Sidmouth Rugby Club.

"It has all been funded through my Devon County Council locality budget."

Other defibrillators that Stuart Hughes has donated can be found at the town's football club, the Sidford pitches and the Manor Pavillion, among other places.
