Firefighters were called to a fire on a farm near Ottery St Mary in the early hours of this morning.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called to Higher Metcombe, near Ottery St Mary, at around 4am today after reports of baler on fire inside a barn.

On arrival crews confirmed that there was a single baler in the farm's yard which was issuing smoke.

Fire crews from Ottery St Mary and Sidmouth extinguished the fire using a hose jet and small tools.

Firefighters believe the cause of the fire was accidental.
