Roads flooded in Sidmouth, Newton Poppleford after thunderstorm

Update 8pm: The A3052 at Newton Poppleford has reportedly reopened and water is subsiding slowly.

Roads in Sidmouth and Newton Poppleford are currently flooded after heavy rain from a thunderstorm this afternoon (Tuesday 9 May).
According to the AA, the A3052 is closed both ways due to flooding between the Exmouth turn-off and Budleigh Salterton turn-off.
There is also heavy traffic on the A375 to Sidbury, and Woolbrook Road in Sidmouth is flooded.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning, which is in place until 10pm.
