Branscombe Harvest Fair took place on Saturday (14) in the beautiful seaside village of Branscombe.

The event, which is located on the village cricket field, attracted over a thousand visitors who enjoyed a hot, sunny day with lots in the way of entertainment – coupled with quality food and beverages.

Highlights from the day included; live music courtesy of 'The Jurassix'; rare animals; a dog show; fair games and an apple pie making competition.

In the spirit of waste, Branscombe School children even had a recycled waste model competition resembling all the key buildings in Branscombe.

Chair of Sidmouth Town Council, Ian Barlow, who is involved with organising the event said: "It's a real village affair and this year has been a tremendous success – helped of course by the weather which was fantastic again, for a second year running.

"Everyone enjoyed themselves. There was lots on offer including some interesting four-legged guests, which proved hugely popular."
