11-year-old boy from Sidbury left 'disheartened' after scarecrows disappear

Elliot Brinklow, 11, from Sidbury has been left feeling 'disheartened' after the accumulation of a summer holiday's hard-work has disappeared, apparently stolen, from the end of his drive.
The objects in question were two beautifully crafted 'scarecrows' - one depicting the much-loved character Mike from 'Monster's Inc.', the other being popular wooden puppet, Pinocchio.
They had been created over the summer months for the Sidbury Scarecrow Competition, an annual event held in conjunction with the village fair.
The theme this year was 'Disney Characters'.
Sidmouth Nub News caught up with Elliot's mum, Emma Brinklow, who said: "My son [who has just started in year 7 at Sidmouth College] gets a taxi to school and he texted me in the morning saying 'Mike and Pinocchio have gone'."
"He's obviously quite upset that someone would have taken them and he's asking if next year they can be chained down to prevent it happening again - which is a bit sad really."
If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Mike and Pinocchio, please could they get in touch.
