You may well recognise the work of local landscape and wildlife photographer, Rob Chidgey. His stunning shots are a frequent feature on the local Facebook groups, displaying his natural talent for capturing the beautiful scenery in East Devon.

Nub News spoke to Rob and asked him how he got into photography, he said: "I work as a recycling driver, so I'm up really early and I just started taking photos on my mobile phone. I started posting them on social media and it just kind of took off from there. I get a lot of people liking the photos and posting really nice comments."

After speaking with other photographers, Rob upgraded his phone for a Canon 750D and has bought several lenses which are especially suited to the kind of work he does.

"I love taking pictures of birds of prey and I get up early, even when I'm not working, to catch the sunrise."

When asked about what the future holds, Rob said: "I recently put an advert out to get some practice weddings in. I'll go along free of charge to start with, just so I can build up a portfolio.

"Portraits are another area that I'm interested in, because it would be nice to start making some pennies. I'm in the middle of building my own website and hoping to start up a business."
