Jurassic Paddle Sports is teaming up with one of the UK's favourite recipe box services to hold a beach clean event with a difference.

The special beach clean event on Saturday, September 14, will include beach fitness style boot camps, paddle boarding, kayaking and of course 'a massive beach clean'.

Mindful Chef UK is one of the UK's top recipe box services, as voted for by thousands of their customers on consumer website Trustpilot.

The recipe box service has the backing on Sir Andy Murray and Victoria Pendleton CBE.

Mindful Chef's co-founder, Giles Humphries, is originally from Sidmouth and is looking forward to returning to his hometown for this special event.

Giles will be hosting the beach clean event with Sidmouth-based Mindful Chef Ambassador Janey Holliday, one of the UK's top food, fitness and mindset coaches.

A spokesperson for Mindful Chef said: "Every day, eight million pieces of plastic pollution find their way into our oceans, meaning there's now up to 269,000 tonnes of plastic floating in the sea.

"Not only is it having a severe impact on the livelihood of sea creatures; it's also ending up on our beaches.

"Don't forget to tag and share your pictures with us on the day, for your chance to win a month's worth of free recipe boxes, using @mindfulchefuk #MCCoastClean."

The beach clean itself will take place between 12.30pm and 1.30pm. Outdoor activities including, the boot camps, kayaking and paddle boarding, will take place between 1.30pm and 2.30pm.

At 2.30pm goody bags will be given out to participants.
