Millennium Walkway, which provides access from Sidmouth town beach to Jacob's Ladder beach, will be partially closed from Wednesday (1 February) to fit new-and-improved railings.

The work will take up to three days, according to East Devon District Council.

The local authority said the new railings will replace the existing ones which are "frequently damaged" in order to maintain safe access to the beach.
