Police officers recently discovered a "small cannabis grow" while conducting routine enquiries in Ottery St Mary.

They seized the class B drug for destruction.

A man will reportedly be interviewed in due course.

The maximum penalty for drug supply and production of cannabis is up to 14 years in prison, an unlimited fine or both under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Officers from the Neighbourhood Team were conducting routine enquiries when they discovered a small cannabis grow in Ottery.

"The cannabis has been seized for destruction and a man will be interviewed about the matter in due course."
