Pedestrian, 93, seriously injured in Newton Poppleford road accident

A 93 year old man has been seriously injured in a car accident in Newton Poppleford.

He was walking along the High Street when he was in collision with a car at about 4.50pm yesterday (Wednesday, December 23).

He was taken to the RD&E hospital with injuries described as 'life threatening'.

The driver of the car, a Ford Fiesta, was not hurt.

The A3052 was closed for four hours for police to investigate the scene of the accident.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact the Roads Policing Team on 101, quoting log 753 of 23 December 2020.
