Several sheep killed and injured after trailer overturns on A30

Several sheep have been killed and injured after a cattle trailer overturned on the A30.

The incident took place at around 10.30am today on the A30 Westbound near Daisy Mount Cross, between the junctions for Honiton, A35, and Clyst Honiton, B3184.

Police have confirmed the driver was unharmed in the incident but several sheep have perished and a number sheep have been injured. A vet was called to the scene.

One lane of the A30 was closed due to the incident but the police are in the process of reopening the road fully but drivers are still being advised to avoid the area while traffic returns to normal.
