Two of Sidmouth's four pharmacies will be closed over the festive bank holidays.

Sidmouth Nub News has put together this handy guide to make sure you do not get caught out by the Christmas and New Year closures.

While some pharmacies will remain open over the festive period, opening times may be different to usual and you may have to travel further afield to pick up prescriptions.

Here is the official list of opening times and closures over Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Eve for the Sidmouth and Ottery areas.

The following Sidmouth pharmacies will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day:

-Lloyds Pharmacy, 81 High Street, Sidmouth, EX10 8LD.

-Lloyds Pharmacy, The Beacon Medical Centre, Sidmouth/Sidford, EX10 9YA,

The following pharmacies will be opening at some point during the festive period:

-Boots Pharmacy, Woolbrook Road, EX10 9UU, will be open on Christmas Day between 3pm and 5pm.

-Boots Pharmacy, Fore Street, Sidmouth, EX10 8AQ, will be open on Boxing Day between 10am and 4pm. It will also be open on New Year's Day between 10am and 4pm.

In nearby Ottery St Mary both the Boots Pharmacy in Broad Street and the Well Pharmacy on Canaan Way will be closed throughout the Christmas and New Year period.
