Broadband problems in Sidmouth are currently being investigated by the organisation responsible for maintaining the area's internet services.

A spokesperson for Openreach has confirmed to Nub News that the organisation is aware of outages in Sidmouth and it is currently investigating what is causing the problems.

There are reports that broadband networks have begun working again in some parts of Sidmouth.

East Devon's MP, Simon Jupp, also contacted Openreach via Twitter asking for clarification on the problems, he said: "I'm aware broadband is currently down in Sidmouth, EastDevon. I'm logging the issue which appears to be widespread across the town with Openreach. I'll push for action at the earliest opportunity."
