Sidmouth Folk Festival cancels fireworks display due to public safety concerns

Sidmouth Folk Festival has been forced to cancel the festival's fireworks this weekend due to the extreme weather forecast for the area.

The festival's torchlight procession and fireworks display have both been cancelled.

A spokesperson for Sidmouth Folk Festival said: "Due to the forecast weather conditions, The Sidmouth Folk Festival has, with regret, cancelled Friday's torchlight procession and fireworks in the interests of public safety."
