Sidmouth is gearing up for an evening of festive fun at this year's Late Night Shopping event.

Next Friday, December 6, Sidmouth's town centre shops will be staying open until 8pm and the town will play host to dancing, singing and even a visit from Santa Claus himself.

Helping Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce create at festive atmosphere for the Late Night Shopping next Friday will be Sidmouth College, Sidmouth Primary School, JM Dance Fit, East Devon Dance Academy, Kyle Baker Photography, Sidmouth Steppers, Sidbury Choir, Professor Bumble, DJ Paul Ryder and of course a visit from the Lions Santa Sleigh.

A spokesperson for Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce, the event organisers, said: "Shop local this Christmas and support your High Street. The Chamber of Commerce has worked with Sidmouth College and congratulations goes to Matilda Bentall for designing this year's winning poster.

"Of course, the evening would not be complete without a visit by Father Christmas."
