Sidmouth: In-person Carols by Candlelight Service returns to Donkey Sanctuary after two-year Covid hiatus
The Donkey Sanctuary's live Carols by Candlelight service will return to its Sidmouth site in December after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The event, which for the past two years has been held virtually due to the pandemic, will include traditional Christmas Carols from the Exeter Railway Band, Christmas readings, and performances by The Donkey Sanctuary choir.
It will be held on Friday 9 December from 6.30pm. The service is reportedly one hour long.
A spokesperson for The Donkey Sanctuary said: "Thousands of candles will illuminate the heart of the Sidmouth sanctuary, creating a truly magical festive atmosphere.
"The on-site restaurant The Kitchen will be open throughout providing hot food and drinks, and The Gift Shop will also be open, providing the perfect excuse to do some Christmas shopping.
"For those who are unable to visit the sanctuary in person, people will be able to watch the service from the comfort of their own homes, as the event will be also broadcast live online via the award-winning 'Sanctuary From Your Sofa' on The Donkey Sanctuary's website."
Tickets are now available to book and cost £5 per vehicle, with no limits on the number of people per vehicle.
