Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce has launched a survey to gauge the impact of increased parking charges on local businesses this summer.

It comes after East Devon District Council raised fees earlier this year for several of its car parks in the town to £2 per hour from April to October.

A spokesperson for Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce said: "Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce is collecting data on the impact of car parking charges on businesses in East Devon.

"This will be presented to EDDC who promised to review the car parking charges after the peak season.

"Please complete this brief survey regarding the impact of the increases to car park charges, in EDDC car parks on your business this summer."
