Sidmouth Lions Club is set to hold one of its fundraising book sales for the first time in over three years.

Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, it held book sales quarterly to raise money for the club's various charity and community service activities.

The event will take place on Saturday 14 October from 9.30am to 12pm at St Teresa's Hall on the corner of Vicarage Road and Connaught Road in Sidmouth.

A Sidmouth Lions Club spokesperson said: "There will be hundreds of good-quality paperback books to choose from, plus jigsaw puzzles, DVDs and CDs and also a cakes stall.  

"Entrance is £1 per person, and this includes a free cup of coffee or tea, so do come along and support your local Lions!

"All proceeds are in aid of the Lions Club charity activities."

Sidmouth Lions Club is also seeking new members and volunteer helpers.
