With Christmas behind us many people are wondering what to do with their real Christmas trees, thankfully East Devon District Council is putting on a special Christmas tree mulching event in Sidmouth.

The Christmas Tree recycling event will be taking place in Sidmouth at Manor Road car park on Wednesday, January 8, between 8.30am and 12pm.

A 92-year-old woman has died following a collision between a car and a pedestrian in West Hill, near Ottery St Mary, on Tuesday 17 December.

A tree has been stolen from Sidmouth Arboretum, however, the independent association who runs the arboretum has told the culprits to 'look after it' and to perhaps make a donation to cover the cost.
