It is not yet clear if the Brexit Party will be fielding a candidate in East Devon, amid claims and counter-claims from councillors, East Devon's current MP and the Brexit Party itself.
Retiring East Devon MP Sir Hugo Swire and an East Devon county councillor have both claimed the Brexit Party will not be fielding a candidate in East Devon at December's General Election.

Independent East Devon General Election candidate Claire Wright has accused retiring Conservative MP Sir Hugo Swire of electioneering after he he made a statement this morning confirming that Ottery St Mary Hospital will not be closed.
This morning the Conservative MP announced he had 'received formal confirmation from the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care that Ottery St Mary Hospital will not close'.

Ottery St Mary Hospital will not close, according to East Devon MP Hugo Swire. In statement issued this morning the MP also took a potshot at Independent East Devon parliamentary candidate Claire Wright, asking her 'not to seek to stir up more anxiety about its future'.
Today (October 31), East Devon MP Sir Hugo Swire has received formal confirmation from the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care that Ottery St Mary Hospital will not close.

Sidmouth Voluntary Services, is a local charity helping older people in our community, by providing community transport and a lunch club.
Through the dedication of our volunteers, we help hundreds of local people each year get to the shops, their medical appointments and to the lunch club.

Exciting plans for a new skatepark in Sidmouth have now been submitted to the planning authorities at East Devon District Council (EDDC) for approval.
Maverick Industries, which specialise in the design and installation of spray concrete skateparks and 'have installed some of the best skateparks across the UK'.
