Open Breakfast – Wednesday 9th October at 0800. Councillor Louise Thompson and Jessica from Voyage Marketing will present the rebranding of 'Visit Sidmouth' on behalf of Sidmouth Town Council.
Richard Eley and Sally Mynard of the Chamber were fortunate to be invited to the Town Council Offices last week as they revealed the rebranding for the promotion of the town going forward.
Our Classic Car Show was undoubtedly a great success, held in partnership with the Crash Box Club. The quality of cars was better than ever, the crowds were probably bigger than ever and everyone enjoyed their day.
The day was also a tribute to Matt Portman, our Treasurer, who sadly and suddenly passed away earlier this year. He was always a very important member of our car show team.
A new 'Matt Portman Pride of Ownership Award' was made by Sue Portman and her son and daughter to a proud car owner, photo above.
Members, Sidmouth Jewellers pulled out every stop possible, first to acquire the Shield (Sue) and then to have it engraved (Erin). A massive thank you goes to each of them. Thank you too to everyone who helped on the day, we couldn't have done it without you.
This year Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce have been working with the students at Sidmouth College to design a poster to promote this year's Late Night Shopping to be held on Friday 6th December.
We are delighted to announce that Matilda a student in year 8 is the winner - congratulations. Posters will be available in the coming weeks for you to kindly display. Thank you also to Members, Sidmouth Print for printing and helping with the final design.
