This week, we've chosen an attractive Grade II listed, four-bedroom house in the heart of Salcombe Regis, being marketed by Harrison-Lavers Potburys, with a guide price of £525,000.
The house
This most attractive semi-detached property features reverse level accommodation to make the most of a wonderful south-facing outlook over the centre of Salcombe Regis to the church and beyond.
The living accommodation features a spacious open plan sitting/dining room loosely sub-divided by a partition wall. There are two front-facing windows with views to the church and beyond, and the sitting room is double aspect, with a door into the rear garden. The room also features a brick fireplace with gas (bottled) flame fire.
The separate kitchen is double aspect with a front-facing window, offering a delightful view. There is a good range of units with space for an electric cooker, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine.
The main bedroom is also at first floor level, again to make the most of the view. There is an en-suite shower room which is fully tiled. At ground floor level are three further double bedrooms; bedroom four is currently used as a spacious study. The main bathroom is fitted with a white suite comprising bath, wash basin and WC. There is a connecting door to the garage and glazed double doors opening onto the front. The property has electric heating and timber framed double glazing.
Outside
At the front is off-road parking for two cars and a single garage. There is a pathway to the side with 'right of way' for neighbouring Church Cottage, who own the section of the rear garden with the timber summerhouse.
The rear garden is arranged over four tiers that rise steeply away from the property. The first two are arranged as lawn with colourful beds and borders. Steps pass Church Cottage's garden and rise to a further lawn section with raised gravel patio, having a stunning south-facing view over the valley to the sea. Further steps rise steeply to the top garden which is laid to lawn with apple trees and has a breath-taking view over the centre of Salcombe Regis to the sea.
