Ffiona Eaves returns to KH with a mix of art, archaeology, and history. Her aim is to surprise and delight you with some of the artistic achievements of our distant ancestors, from 3000 B.C. to 700 A.D., as we focus on prehistoric carvings and metalwork, Roman mosaics , and illuminated manuscripts of the "Dark Ages". Questions naturally arise: who made these beautiful things, for whom, and for what purpose? Looking at the context of each piece may answer some of these and enrich our appreciation.
