A company named "The Bicycle Ballet" is set to appear at Sidmouth Sea Fest this weekend.

The dancers will be performing on their bikes at 10am, 2pm and 4pm on Saturday (20 May) on the Esplanade.

Sidmouth Cycling Campaign is hosting the performances, which have been funded by the Sea Fest and the Vision Group for Sidmouth.

A Sidmouth Cycling Campaign spokesperson said: "The Bicycle Ballet... are a dynamic group who bring spectacle and humour to cycling (and ballet).

"As well as providing entertainment they will also be highlighting the joys of cycling which the Sidmouth Cycling Campaign is intent on fostering within our beautiful East Devon countryside.

"As our recent survey recognised, the cycleways in and around Sidmouth only connect small areas.

"The public would like routes to Sidbury and Ottery specifically to open up the valley for healthy pursuits. Imagine the impact it will have on the area if people could cycle from Ottery to Sidmouth."

A free annual one-day festival produced by Sidmouth Coastal Community Hub, Sidmouth Sea Fest will take place on Saturday (20 May) from 10am to 11pm at The Ham. There will also be a fundraiser the night before.

Members of the Sidmouth Cycling Campaign will be at the Vision Group for Sidmouth stall on the day if you want to find out more about their mission.
